As many of you may know, baby Evelyn was born on Sunday. She was 7 pds. 4 oz, 20.5 inches. Unfortunately, that same evening she was taken to the NICU for extremely low blood sugar and jaundice. I do thank you all for your prayers during this extremely stressful time. However, the good news is that we are now home. While she still is wearing a billy blanket (a glowing blanket thingy that sheds light on her skin in order to fight the jaundice) she is at least out of the hospital. This is a picture of her in the bassinet at home.
Sebastian is very excited to have Mommy and Evelyn home and to finally get to hold his baby sister.
I originally started this blog in order to share my thoughts about everything. However, I apparently have fewer thoughts than I supposed so, it has turned into a basic journal of what our family is up to these days.

Congratulations, Erica!!! Having two is an adjustment at first. I remember my midwife telling me that in the beginning, 1+1 does NOT equal 2. But it gets better and easier and more and more beautiful. And, from the looks of things, it will be easier than your first few days with her! Enjoy that new baby smell! Give her little peachy head a kiss for me!
