It is hard to believe that this kid was born five years ago. Sometimes he seems so young but then there are days that I have to remind myself that he is only five. I was recently watching some videos of him from when we first moved to North Carolina, amazingly enough he was only 2 1/2 at the time. It all goes by so fast that I have a difficult time remembering it all. I sometimes wonder what he will be like when he grows up, but mostly, I'm just trying to enjoy him while he is little.

The dinosaur cake. I started decorating cakes for their birthdays because my mom did it for us. But every time I have to do another one I think, "why did I start this?" But then, he gets so excited and tells me how nice it looks, and the two hours + of work is worth it. |

Best part of blowing out candles. |

About the thing on his head: I wanted him to have something like a crown, but I only saw these things that said "Happy Birthday" on them. Patrick said it made him look like a little girl. Sorry Sebastian. |

He got two sets of Mass Clothes (as he calls them) for his birthday and I am very happy to say that he acts excited about them. Even if he isn't really that excited, at least he is polite. |

This was real excitement, the Helm's Deep Lego set that he got from Gaffer and Grammy. |
